Terms of Service

Last updated: 29 September 2026

By using TypeTails you agree to these terms. They are short because the site is simple: free typing games, lessons and a typing test that run in your browser.

Free to use

Everything on TypeTails is free and needs no account. You may use it at home, at school or at work, and teachers may share links with their students.

Fair use

• Do not try to break, overload or scrape the site automatically.
• Do not copy the games, code or original text and publish them as your own.
• Scores are stored in your own browser; editing them only changes what you see.

Typing texts

The passages in the typing test come from public-domain books made available by Project Gutenberg. Lesson sentences and game word lists are written by TypeTails.

No warranty

The site is provided as is. We work to keep it running and accurate, but we cannot promise it will always be available or error-free, and we are not liable for losses from using it. WPM results are for practice and are not an official certification.

Changes

We may update these terms; the date above shows the latest version. See also our Privacy Policy.
