About Alpha Words

In Alpha Words, letters and words drift down the screen and you clear each one by typing it before it reaches the bottom. Level 1 is single home-row letters (A, S, D, F, J, K, L), level 2 is short home-row words, and from level 3 the game uses real words; anything that reaches the bottom costs one of three lives.

It is the gentlest game on TypeTails and the natural first stop for new typists, because its home-row levels drill exactly the keys the first lessons teach. The game speeds up every eight words and lets several words fall at once, so later levels still push quick typists.

Tip: keep your fingers resting on the home row between targets and clear the lowest letter or word first; it is the one about to land.
